This is the second year Keep Wines have been producing Cabernet Sauvignon from the legendary Bengier Vineyard (formerly known as the Vare Vineyard). This Vineyard, unlike the majority of Napa Cabernet locations, is known for producing wine of lower sugar levels and higher fruit concentration. Winemakers in Napa paid homage to the legendary Cabernets of the '70s and '80s with this vintage. To give this vintage's Napa Cabernet a little something extra, they opted to age it in one-year-old barrels for 24 months and then in the bottle for an additional year before releasing it.
