Maderista is a joint venture between The Madeira Wine Company and The Madeira Collection with the goal of making an approachable Madeira that highlights the elegance of the Tinta Negra grape rather than on oxidation. Obtaining low oxidation levels and energy in the wines is the goal of every blend. Both Maderista bottlings are made in the canteiro method where the wines are aged in used barrels warmed naturally without the use of artificial heat. The Maderista Medium Dry has 73 grams of residual sugar and leans towards a more classic style of Madeira, to be enjoyed as an after-dinner drink.
