Suane Tinto Reserva 2017 Product Shot

Suane Tinto Reserva - 2018

Garnet red, good intensity, rich and deep. Because the nose is a little shy at first, it is recommend opening it at least half an hour prior. It opens to notes of black fruit, plum stone, fig bread, faint oak, and spicy liquorice after a small oxygenation. It is fresh in the mouth, with a good texture and a long and strong finish that continues the sensations felt in the nose. Silky tannin, fine, ripe, and integrated. After maturing in the bottle, expect a medium-term progression.

  • Fermentation:The clusters are de-stemmed gently without crushing and placed in concrete tanks without any additional intervention. Alcoholic fermentation started on its own. There will be no pumping over, merely 2-3 moderate punch-downs throughout the fermentation. Following the completion of the fermentation, the skins are gently pressed in a vertical press into 228-liter French oak barrels, where the malolactic fermentation was carried out by stirring the fine lees weekly until the wine was racked. Following 24 months of maturing, the wine is decanted into a tank with lees for 2 months to allow for spontaneous clarity. Before to bottling, the lees are separated using light filtering.
  • Elevage:24 months in 100% French oak (50% three years, 30% four years, 20% five years). Following bottling, it should be kept in the bottle for at least 15 months before being released.
