Teutonic Wine Company was founded by Barnaby and Olga Tuttle in 2005. While these wines are inspired by the wines of the Middle-Mosel Valley in Germany and Alsace in France, they are a celebration of Oregon. Barnaby and Olga work with cool climate growing sites and are focused on quality farming as well as minimal intervention in both the vineyard and winery.
The Crow Valley Vineyard is a small vineyard in the Willamette Valley that was originally planted in 1979. The vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Pinot Gris. The vines are own rooted and dry farmed. No pesticides are used in the Crow Valley Vineyard and is farmed with organic practices. The 2024 Riesling for Candied Mushroom was hand harvested, foot stomped and spent four days macerating before the juice was pressed off and fermented into neutral oak. This Riesling is slightly off-dry with racy acidity and a wild array of umami aromas and flavors.
