With a beautiful dark ruby color, the Pinot Noir has aromas of ripe strawberries and briary black cherry interspersed with hints of vanilla, cedar, and rhubarb. The subtle oak nuances integrate perfectly with the bright fruit, balanced acidity, and silky tannins. This wine is drinking beautifully now but will also age gracefully in your cellar. The organically farmed grapes from the renowned Carneros appellation presented an excellent opportunity to showcase the distinctive qualities of Carneros Pinot Noir in a moderately long, cool vintage. The vineyard is planted with a diverse selection of clones, including two of the newer Dijon clones (667 & 777) as well as the older, well-respected Pommard 4 and 115 clones. The vineyard has been organically certified since 2006, further enhancing the quality and character of the grapes.
