About Primo Spirits

Primo Aperitivo was created in Mexico City in 2020, during a time when the city was already a vibrant global hub. The post-pandemic isolation period highlighted how the ordinary, once taken for granted, became unique and cherished. The founders of Primo Aperitivo realized that their next venture needed to focus on what truly matters: friends, family, and togetherness. For them, this meant being outdoors, basking in the sun, walking freely, and most importantly, gathering around a table with friends, an aperitif in hand, engaging in sobremesas (the time and conversations spent at a table after dinner).

This is how Primo, Mexico's natural aperitif, was born. The choice of an aperitif is rooted in its Latin origin "aperire," meaning "to open." While some use aperitifs to whet the appetite, Primo aims to open up life itself, sparking moments, conversations, and enjoyment. The decision to create a natural product was driven by a commitment to self-care, community well-being, and environmental responsibility, aiming to minimize their ecological impact. Mexico holds a special place for the founders, sometimes feeling both from here and there, yet always passionate about creating in the land they call home.
