About Domaine Pierre Andre

Domaine Pierre André, located in the heart of the Rhône Valley, owes its current success to Pierre André, a descendant of a long line of farmer-winemakers. He began working at the age of fourteen and gradually expanded his holdings. Recognizing the harmful effects of agrochemicals on the vines, Pierre staunchly resisted their use and continued to work the soil, guided by his instincts as a vine grower closely connected to the earth. As a result, the vineyard has always been organic, receiving certification in 1980.

Today, Domaine Pierre André is known for its commitment to organic and sustainable viticulture practices. Pierre's daughter, Jacqueline André, progressively took over the domaine, introducing estate-bottling and biodynamic viticulture in 1992. This commitment to organic and biodynamic practices has allowed the vineyard to maintain an estimated average vine age of 80 years, a testament to the exceptional quality of the estate's wines. Domaine Pierre André continues to produce exceptional wines that truly embody the Rhône Valley terroir while honoring the heritage and dedication of its founder, Pierre André.
