About Domaine du Grand Moulin

Owned by the Chainier family for four generations, Domaine du Grand Moulin has twelve hectares of vines that are planted to siliceous limestone clay on slopes with southern exposure. Located in central Loire, to the east of Saumur, Touraine is one of the Loire Valley’s most important wine regions. On the northern banks of the Cher River – a tributary of the Loire just east of Tours – sits this single large vineyard of Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented in stainless steel with minimal dosage sulphur at bottling this Grand Moulin bottling offers a full bouquet of citrus fruit on a bed of rocks. Another journeyman’s wine and one of our most friendly and approachable table wines.
