About Château Les Clauzots

The Château les Clauzots, located in the picturesque commune of Saint Pierre de Mons, perfectly embodies the concept of terroir-driven wines. Situated on the left bank of the Garonne River just south of Bordeaux, this vineyard has a rich history that spans over a century. For five generations, the Tach family has carefully cared for these vines, passing down their knowledge and viticultural expertise from Frederic, the current owner, to his two sons, Adrien and Maxime.

The vineyard is a testament to the enduring legacy of familial stewardship and a deep connection to the land. Graves, the oldest appellation in Bordeaux, derives its name from the distinctive gravelly soil abundant with dense pebbles. The estate embraces biodiversity, maintaining a 2-hectare permanent grazing meadow adorned with fruit trees like cherry, fig, and apple, fostering integrated agriculture and serving as a natural reservoir for wildlife.
