"In 1858, Emil Dresel brought the first Sylvaner cuttings to America and planted them on what is now the SCRIBE Estate in Sonoma, CA. In homage we planted one acre in 2007 on the southwest facing slope of Arrowhead Mountain. We expanded our Sylvaner plantings in 2016 bringing our total acreage to three. Our sustainably farmed Sylvaner vineyard is composed of both volcanic tuff and Huichica loam soil. Watch the story on IGTV." - Winemakers' notes
