Story

"A gripping, bright, medium/dark wine with aromas of plum, dried flowers, a high-tannin mouth feel, and a lingering finish. 30% whole cluster fermentation adds aromatic spice and contributes to overall structure. Great core of fruit and richness. Made with fruit from the Thompson and Larner vineyards. Produced mostly in neutral French barrels." More at JaffursWine.com

Accolades

"The 2009 Grenache comes across as rather delicate and feminine. Dark red fruit, flowers and spices flow from this aromatic, mid-weight offering. The Grenache was made from parcels in Thompson Vineyard and Larner Vineyard. The Larner fruit was fermented with the stems, which is one of the reasons why the Grenache shows so much aromatic lift. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2017." — 90 Points A.G.
