Analemma is a Demeter Certified Biodynamic grower-producer in the Columbia Gorge AVA of Oregon.
The team behind Analemma is seven farm residents and three jersey cows working out of a converted barn that serves as their production facility with a tasting “room” just outside the door. Biodynamic values and commitment to the land are at the heart of everything Analemma does.
The Mosier Hills Estate is both home and heart of Analemma. The site is a former eddy of the Missoula Floods that deposited river stones and granitic glacial erratics where the vineyard was planted starting in 2012. The estate is also caught between maritime and continental climates due to its position in the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains with an average precipitation of 25-35 inches per year.
In 2017, Analemma received its Demeter certification and 2020 was the first officially certified release. Regenerative and conscious practices drive the treatment of the vineyards in addition to the 10 acres of orchards, various lavender plantings, cow pastures and gardens that come together to form the Analemma ecosystem.
