Bicentenary celebrations in the US this weekend
Champagne Billecart-Salmon celebrates their bicentenary this year and they have been celebrating across the globe. Such festivities have been held at the Les Saisons at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, The Knolls in the Capella Hotel in Singapore. They will go on to celebrate in New York City, April 8th at Gramercy Tavern with sixth-generation family member, François Roland-Billecart and on to Jean-Georges in the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills April 10th. This world tour culminates over June 16th and 17th with a grande affair party in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ celebrating the founding of the house in 1818 along with the marriage of Nicolas François Billecart and Elizabeth Salmon. Champagne Billecart-Salmon has produced 1,818 magnums of a special bicentenary cuvée to be enjoyed during these festivities.
Those of you who are intimate with these fine Champagnes will notice the release of new labels and gift boxes across the Billecart-Salmon collection. The new look is a part of the ongoing oath of the house to “give priority to quality, strive for excellence.”
